Our Mission
Our mission is to publicize the educational and cultural benefits of our local public library and to supplement the city budget for the Richard C. Sullivan Public Library of Wilton Manors.
Who We Are
The Friends of the Wilton Manors Library is an all-volunteer, non-profit IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt private corporation registered in the State of Florida, supporting the Richard C. Sullivan Public Library of Wilton Manors, a fully independent library not part of the Broward County Library system. Our primary focus is to promote and support our library’s programs, resources, and services for all people in the community.
What We Do
The Friends of the Wilton Manors Library is financially supported by its membership dues, financial donations, Book Events, other fund-raising activities and private grants. Each year we provide funding for library programing, technology and collection enhancements, such as:
- Underwriting the costs of computers and software.
- Underwriting the costs of children’s programs and adult lecture series.
- Underwriting the purchase of DVDs, audiobooks and large print books for the library collection.
